Who listens to you?

How do you get perspective on what you are doing?

Who listens to you?

How do you get perspective on what you are doing?

What coaching supervision actually gives you

Great coaching isn’t just technique, it’s the quality of your presence, your discernment, and your capacity to stay with discomfort.

Supervision offers something that conferences, peer groups and reading can’t: a dedicated, non-judgemental, ethical space to look at your own work honestly.

We explore what’s happening in your sessions, yes. But also what’s happening in you, your patterns, your blindspots, the places where the work is pulling on something deeper. That’s where real growth lives.

Amaranatho is effective in understanding quickly what the issue is and reflecting this back to me.
His listening skills go beyond the standard approaches and penetrate the issue. This leads to a quality of depth in questioning. I have learned a lot from this.

His approach is direct, strong and kind. There will be a a lot of clarity during the session that increases my own self reflective capacity.

Amaranatho is an exceptional listener, at a very core level, and picking up on all auditive, visual signals:
Astounding ability to see the patterns, and how topics relate to each other.
The sessions have had a great impact on both my personal and professional lives and changed my perspective, increased my awareness, improved my mindfulness and compassion & self-compassion.

Under amaranatho' s supervision, I went from inexperienced retreat host to leading retreats to international acclaim.
Through this guidance, I have embarked on a spiritual adventure that arises, fully vibrant, from within me. I have experienced that this adventure continues as long as I am able, more or less successfully, to avoid my ego hijacking this process. This vibrant experience of spiritual reality is perhaps the single biggest gift of my sessions with you.
He provided feedback, guidance and reflection on the process of spiritual awakening

I’ve lived a few lives and I bring all of them into the room.

A degree in AI. Fifteen years as a Buddhist monk. A transition back into the corporate world as leadership/executive, team and life coach.  As well as being part time Head of Faculty for a boutique coaching company, looking after the well-being of 30 senior coaches, some dual qualified as therapist and supervisors. Over twenty years of deep practice in mindfulness, self-inquiry and human development.

That combination gives me a different perspective: I understand the messiness of real organisations, the intricacies of technical teams, and the depth of what it means to actually change not just adapt.

We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.
Albert Einstein

I have been offering supervision, which I prefer to call a learning partnership, to a variety of facilitators, coaches and community leaders for nearly a decade.

I work 1 to 1, with coaching teams and groups of coaches. Most of my business has been remote and so I have the skills to do this online and enjoy working in person where possible ( I am English living in the Netherlands)

The PlayfulMonk approach to supervision

Explore

How you see your clients.
What your relationship with them is actually doing.
And where you, as a coach,
are getting in your own way
or
finding your edge.
how you contract with your clients/teams

Play

Build the kind of flexible,
relaxed embodied intelligence
that helps you
stay present in complex,
unpredictable situations
without defaulting to your script

Increase your creativity, innovation and emotional intelligence

Love

Grow the courage to stay with what’s hard
in your clients and in yourself.
Real compassion isn’t soft;
it’s what makes depth possible.

Presence

Sharpen your ability to notice
in the room, in your body,
in the spaces between words.
Presence is the skill AI can’t replicate.

Connection

Look at how you communicate
contract and show up
and what’s actually
landing with
the people you work with.

This is the Playfulmonk approach
explore, play, love, presence and connection

Use the learning partnership to reflect on your approach
to improve

self-awareness, trust, agility
and
reduce biases

How does it work?

1

Schedule a 30 minute discovery session

Discovery what you would like to cover and how we can work together
2

Agreement

Agree areas you would like to cover and sign a supervisor agreement.
3

Book

Book a minimum of four one hour session either in person or on zoom/skype.
I am accrediting with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and they recommend 1 hour of supervision per 35 hours of practice, ensuring a minimum of 4 hours per year, evenly distributed if possible.
4

Investment

I am Coaching and mentor supervisor with the EMCC, these sessions are based on sliding scale. We will negotiate what seems reasonable.
